Have you visited Grand Bend, Ontario yet? It could be a weekend at the cottage or a week vacation at one of the resorts, “The Bend” as it’s referred to has a lot to offer the Southern Ontario community. Growing every year, Grand Bend has everything from golf to patios over the water. With so much to see and do, I created a list of the top ten must-do activities to take advantage of while visiting Grand Bend.
Eat at Midori
Not only is Midori Grand Bend’s first and only sushi restaurant, and has recently moved and revamped its image and menu. Not to mention this is some of the best sushi I’ve had in Ontario. From its exclusive dishes such as the wonton nachos to the Midori roll, local ingredients like Hayter’s Turkey are also used to create this awesome menu for everyone to enjoy. Make sure to book a reservation on the patio, you may even get lucky with a live band that night!

Who would have guessed you could go parasailing in Southern Ontario? The best part about this parasailing adventure is it’s a small group of people that go out and you get to spend quite a bit of time getting a bird’s eye view of the Bend. We purposely went at sunset to finish off a great day on the lake. Grand Bend Parasail is only company in town that runs these events so make sure to book your reservation early.
Visit Dark Horse Estate Winery
New to Huron County, Dark Horse is triggering huge buzz in Grand Bend and the surrounding arear with its 31,000 square foot facility and one of a kind architecture. It’s the signature brand of Grand Bend. You can find knock offs of it at other stores along the Bend it’s that popular, but Archies holds the rights to the original Unsalted. With items from hoodies to towels and even throw blankets, you are guaranteed to see someone wearing a piece of Great Lakes Unsalted while in Grand Bend.
Go For Ice Cream At Dairy Dip
Whether it’s the ice cream parlor or the pizza place attached, there is usually a line at Dairy Dip. Established in 1960, this old school ice cream shop has every flavour dip you can think of. Peanut butter, blue raspberry or bubblegum, what’s better than taking a stroll down the bend with a dipped ice cream cone?

Watch a Movie at the Drive-In
This was the first drive-in movie theater I ever went to. Starlite Drive-In Theater has two screens for you to enjoy, offering the newest released that you can find in theaters. You can pay to watch one or two movies, as they play back to back. This is one way to spend a night outdoors.
